A group of mothers of cancer patients and journalist Paul Brodeur raise the question of the cancer hazard posed by electric transmission lines and call for government action. Researchers find no evidence electromagnetic fields cause birth defects or increased incidence of cancer; epidemiological evidence of clusters of childhood cancers are explained as statistically insignificant.
